~BAKED~ Curry Sweet Potato Fries

I LOVE SWEET POTATOES and these fries are awesome as a side dish for an entree or if you're enjoying a light snack! Full of vitamin A and C, sweet potatoes are the russet potatoes glow-ed up cousin that everyone wants a piece of! This recipe in particular, is tasty, filling, and downright delicious.

You've probably gathered that I have a LOVE for spices, I think you can make everything more flavourful with the help of spices! My spice rack is something that I've accumulated over the years, and keep adding as time goes by BUT these sweet potatoes are made with my staple spice choices! If you don't have all the spices that I'm adding, you can always add a different layer of flavour depending on what you like! I'm all for flexibility and versatility and this recipe is IT!

You'll need a sheet pan lined with parchment or greased with olive oil (or whatever is your oil preference - I like olive because it pairs well with spices). You'll also need a sharp knife and a large mixing bowl. I stress a sharp knife because cutting uncooked potatoes with a dull knife is asking for hand blisters. This recipe serves 4 entree side dishes.


1 large sweet potato

1/2 tbsp olive oil

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp cayenne

1/2 tsp curry powder

1/2 tsp turmeric

pinch of salt.


  1. Preheat oven to 400F

  2. Cut the sweet potato into fine fry-like slivers.

  3. Toss in olive oil and spices in the large bowl.

  4. Lay out flat onto the sheet pan and bake for 30 mins.

  5. ENJOY

Serve with my homemade yogurt curry dip.

*Mix all these ingredients together to make the dip!

1 cup plain greek yogurt

1/2 lemon's juice

1/2 tsp turmeric

1/2 tsp curry powder

pinch of cayenne powder
